Eleanor Shelby-Ellis is a skilled mediator, circle keeper, speaker, and consultant. She focuses on reconciliation, conflict resolution, and how these ideologies can cause positive outcomes in a person’s life. She specializes in assisting community members and families navigate through their conflicts. Eleanor is a member of Conflict Resolution Minnesota, a non-profit organization of Alternative Dispute Resolution based primarily in Minnesota.
Eleanor is a proud alumna of Metropolitan State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies. She has a passion for social justice issues that affect marginalized and oppressed persons.
For more than 20 years, Eleanor has worked in the capacity of serving families from various socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, through direct services, program development, ministry, and activism. She has been meditator since 2018 in the area of civil mediation.
She is a Qualified Neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice. Eleanor has certifications for Civil and Divorce Mediation and Restorative Practice.
Eleanor has a wealth of leadership experience. As a native Saint Paulite, she has spent time with friends and family being a service leader and local activist with several organizations against economic and racial injustices in the community. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and reading.
